NOPD Investigating Quadruple Shooting On Touro Street That Left Three Dead

The NOPD is investigating a quadruple shooting that claimed the life of a female and two males and seriously injured one other female. The shooting occurred this morning in the 4200 block of Touro Street.     

Around 4:18 a.m., Third District officers responded to a call of a victim shot in the area. When officers arrived, they found the female victim inside the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s) to the body. The victim was transported to a local hospital.

Officers then immediately conducted a safety sweep of the residence. During the sweep, officers located three additional victims inside the residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The female and two males were unresponsive. They were subsequently pronounced dead on the scene. The surviving victim is listed in serious condition.

This information is still very preliminary.        

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.
