NOPD Arrests Suspect for Theft on Pelican Avenue, Seeks Second Suspect

The NOPD has arrested Johnathon Guidry (DOB: 09-04-1985) in connection with a theft that occurred on March 5, 2017 in the 400 block of Pelican Avenue. Meanwhile, a second suspect in this incident is still at large.

During the incident, the suspects allegedly walked onto the victim’s property and removed an outdoor swing set from the victim’s front porch. The suspects then are believed to have transported the property to their residence in the 500 block of Elmira Avenue.

During investigation, detectives were able to positively identify Guidry and Karen Lala (DOB: 09-19-1971) as the suspects in this incident. Guidry was arrested without incident, while Lala remains at large.
