NOPD Arrests Suspect for Felon in Possession of Firearm, Violating Probation

NOPD Seventh District officers arrested Trey Lee (DOB: 11/8/1999) on Monday (March 6) after he was seen running from police and removing a firearm.

At around 4:45 p.m., Seventh District officers were patrolling near the intersection of Westlake and Harbourview Drive. While in the area, officers observed Lee concealing a firearm in his pants pocket. As the officers tried to approach Lee, he was seen fleeing the area. Seventh District officers then gave chase.  While running, officers observed Lee removing and discarding a firearm and a jacket he was wearing. Lee was eventually apprehended in the 6600 block of Harbourview Drive.

Officers then retraced Lee's steps and located a .40 caliber handgun and the suspect’s jacket. Inside the pockets of the jacket, officers also located small bags of green vegetable matter, which is believed to be marijuana.
