NOPD, U.S. Marshals Take Two More Suspected Offenders Off the Streets

NOPD, U.S. Marshals Take Two More Suspected Offenders Off the Streets

The Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) and U.S. Marshals arrested two individuals for major offenses within the past 24 hours, including:

 

Jonathan Hinnen (DOB: 8/20/1987) for sexual battery and simple battery. The incident took place in the 1800 block of 1800 Rampart Street, on February 09, 2017. Hinnen was arrested at 715 South Broad Street.

 

Dejour McGuire (DOB: 4/19/1990) for aggravated assault with a firearm. McGuire was apprehended in the 7000 block of Lawrence Road. He was arrested for an incident that occurred in the 7000 block of Crowder Boulevard on February 24, 2017.

The Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) is responsible for tracking down individuals who are wanted for serious crimes and apprehending suspects with outstanding warrants. This unit operates within the NOPD’s Special Operations Division and works in conjunction with the United States Marshals Office Fugitive Task Force. In 2016 the unit was responsible from more than 500 arrests.
