Arrest for Attempted Murder Takes 10 More Guns off the Street

The NOPD has arrested Kacey Severin (DOB: 11/13/90) for attempted murder in connection to an incident that took place earlier this week on Knight Drive.

The victim reported that on February 27, 2017, an unknown white male struck her vehicle with his vehicle. She chased after the perpetrator who stopped at two locations to fire a weapon at her. She was struck and transported to the hospital.

During the subsequent investigation, Severin was identified as the perpetrator and a search warrant was issued. Execution of the warrant, completed with the assistance of NOPD’s Special Operations Division, resulted in the confiscation of 10 firearms as well as a supply of ammunition.

After learning that the search warrant had been executed, Severin turned himself in to police on March 2, 2017.
