NOPD Investigates Homicide on Toledano Street

NOPD Investigates Homicide on Toledano Street

The NOPD is investigating a homicide by cutting that occurred today (June 29) in the Sixth District.

Officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by knife in the 3100 block of Toledano Street, at or around 8:52 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered one adult male victim outside of the residence, suffering from an apparent stab wound to the neck. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine an official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
