NOPD, U.S. Marshals Arrest Suspect in Aggravated Assault on Onzaga Street

The NOPD Violent Offenders Warrant Squad and U.S. Marshals have arrested Jonathan Wooden (DOB: 02-07-1989) in connection with an aggravated assault with a firearm that occurred on May 22, 2018 in the 2200 block of Onzaga Street.

Wooden was wanted for allegedly pointing a handgun at two garbage truck operators during an altercation at the location at about 7:20 a.m.

As the investigation into the incident progressed, detectives were able to positively identify Wooden as the perpetrator and obtain an warrant for his arrest. Wooden was located and arrested on June 11 in the 2200 block of Onzaga Street. He was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
