NOPD Searching for Person of Interest in Unclassified Death Investigation

NOPD Searching for Person of Interest in Unclassified Death Investigation

The NOPD is requesting assistance in locating a person of interest for questioning in the ongoing investigation of an unclassified death that occurred on June 3, 2023, in the 2000 block of Piety Street.

On June 3, NOPD Fifth District officers conducted a wellness check at a residence in the 2000 block of Piety Street regarding a missing person investigation, discovering the reported missing person to be deceased. The incident is currently under investigation as an unclassified death.

During investigation, detectives developed and identified Brent Mills Ganier Jr. (pictured, white male, DOB: 10-12-1982), aka “Gator”, as a person of interest in this case.

Ganier is not currently wanted on criminal charges regarding this incident. However, detectives feel that he may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
