The NOPD has arrested five subjects in connection with gun and narcotics investigations and confiscated three illegal handguns including one possessed by a juvenile.

On June 7, 2023, First and Eight District officers worked together in a an operation to investigate suspects illegally carrying firearms and possessing illegal narcotics in various locations in the First & Eighth Districts.

As a result of the investigation officers arrested the following individuals:

Andrew Brant (Black male, DOB: 12-17-1993), who was charged with illegally carrying a weapon.

Marquin Lewis (Black male DOB:04-07-1989), who was charged with possession of a concealed handgun and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Roy Braud (Black male, DOB: 02-15-1999), who was arrested on outstanding warrants for dealing narcotics and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Tyrez Jenkins (Black male, DOB: 02-10-1996), who was charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics.

An unidentified juvenile was charged with illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.

In addition, officers confiscated nearly 280 grams of narcotics and three handguns.
