Through investigation, NOPD Eighth District detectives developed and positively identified Johnson as the perpetrator in this incident. An arrest warrant was obtained for Johnson for aggravated second-degree battery, illegal use of weapons, illegal carrying of a weapon, illegal possession of a firearm on the premises of an alcoholic beverage outlet and for obstruction of justice.

Detectives, assisted by VOWS and the U.S. Marshals, located and arrested Johnson without incident at a residence in the 7600 block of Shaw Avenue. A subsequent warranted search of Johnson’s residence revealed valuable evidence in the investigation (pictured).

Johnson was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center accordingly.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Anyone with additional information on this incident is urged to contact NOPD Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080.
