NOPD Obtains Arrest Warrant for Suspect in Domestic Homicide Incident

On June 18, 2022, the NOPD obtained an arrest warrant for Sandra Jimerson (black female, DOB: 04-20-1949) in the investigation of a domestic homicide incident that occurred on June 18 in the 3800 block of Gentilly Boulevard and left one person dead.

At about 12:42 p.m., NOPD Third District officers responded to a reported of an aggravated battery by shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers entered a residence and discovered two subjects in the residence. One subject – an adult male – was found to have sustained a gunshot wound and was declared deceased on scene. The second subject – an adult female – was not found to have sustained injury and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives developed and positively identified the female subject as the perpetrator in this incident and determined the incident to be domestic in nature.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the female subject – identified as Jimerson – on one count of domestic second-degree murder.

Upon her release from medical treatment, Jimerson will be booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
