Suspect, Persons of Interest Sought in Eighth District Shooting

Suspect, Persons of Interest Sought in Eighth District Shooting

The NOPD is seeking to locate a suspect in the investigation of a shooting at the intersection of Bourbon and Saint Ann streets on June 20, 2021, and also looking to locate two persons of interest for questioning in this investigation.

Through investigation, the pictured unknown black male has been identified as a suspect in this investigation.

Also identified through investigation in this incident as persons of interest are Lauren Brielle Wells (pictured, aka “Lauren Carmouche,” white female, DOB: 09-20-2001) and Alisha Carmouche (pictured, white female, DOB: 08-16-1991). The persons of interest are not currently wanted on criminal charges. However, detectives feel the two may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview them.

The three subjects are reportedly known to frequent the 700 and 800 blocks of Bourbon Streets and to sell marijuana-infused edibles from a hand cart.
