NOPD Investigates Quadruple Shooting that Left One Deceased & Three Injured in the First District

The NOPD is investigating a quadruple shooting that claimed the life of one adult male and injured three others in the First District.

On June 14, 2020, around 6:59 p.m., First District officers responded to an aggravated battery by shooting in the 600 block of South Lopez Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered four adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The first victim was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS. The other three victims were transported to the hospital by EMS. One of the victims is listed in critical condition and the other two victims are listed in stable condition.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine the official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of an autopsy and notification of family.
