Suspect Sought by NOPD in Eighth District Vehicle Theft

The NOPD is investigating a reported vehicle theft that occurred on June 17, 2019 in the 800 block of O’Keefe Avenue.

At approximately 8:45 a.m., the victim reportedly parked her white 2003 Lincoln Town Car bearing Louisiana license plate TGS266 in the parking lot adjacent to a business in the block. On the same day at approximately 5:30 p.m. the victim returned to the location where she parked her vehicle and discovered it to be missing. The victim has all sets of keys belonging to the vehicle.

Upon reviewing the video, an unknown black male subject is observed to be wandering in the parking lot at approximately 4:30 p.m. The subject is then seen approaching the victim’s vehicle and gaining entry by unknown means. The subject then reportedly started the vehicle and drove away on O’Keefe Avenue towards Poydras Street, then unknown.

Photos are included of the subject and – for reference purposes – a vehicle similar in color, year, make and model to the victim’s vehicle.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident or the pictured subject is asked to contact NOPD Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080, or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
