ARRESTED: NOPD Arrests Suspect Wanted for Seventh District Business Burglary

NOPD officers have arrested Cary Porter (DOB: 10/23/1971) for his alleged involvement in a Seventh District business burglary.

On June 6, 2019 around 1:55 a.m., a burglary occurred at a Daiquiris Shop located in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard.

During the course of the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance video from this incident and observed a black male, who was later identified as Porter, smash the front door open. He then ran to the back of the business and forced entry into the back office. The subject was observed going through items then fleeing the scene.

Porter was located on June 12, 2019, in the 7000 block of Boston Drive. He was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center where he was booked accordingly.
