NOPD VOWS Arrest Suspect in Homicide on Pauger Street

Members of the NOPD’s Violent Offenders Warrant Squad (June 6) arrested Leo Tate III (DOB:08/04/93) yesterday for second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.

The incident occurred in the 2100 block of Pauger Street on February 16, 2018. Fifth District officers responded to a call of shots fired just after 6 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered one adult female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Officers also located a second male juvenile victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition at the time of the incident.

Through the course of the investigation, Leo Tate III was identified as the perpetrator in the incident.
