NOPD officers made multiple arrests this week, including apprehensions for such offenses as armed robbery, negligent homicide, aggravated battery, and burglary.

 

May 25

Romel Gregorio (DOB: 11-24-1984) for aggravated battery by cutting. The incident occurred near the I-10 on ramp and South Carrollton Avenue. Gregorio was arrested at the scene by Third District officers.

 

Christopher Trevisan (DOB: 4-21-1984) for possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. The incident took place in the 12000 block of I-10 Service Road and he was arrested at the scene by Seventh District officers.

 

Lisa Combel (DOB: 2-4-1971) for possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. The incident took place in the 12000 block of I-10 Service Road and she was arrested at the scene by Seventh District officers.

 

Adam Brown (8-23-1993) for possession of firearm by a felon. The incident occurred in the 7900 block of Chef Menteur Highway and Brown was arrested on the scene by Seventh District officers.

 

Emery Thompson (DOB: 10-9-1956) for robbery. The incident happened at Washington Avenue and Lasalle Street in the Sixth District and Thompson was apprehended at his residence.

 

Paris Lamotte (DOB: 10-5-1991) for illegal carrying of a weapon and criminal trespassing. The incident occurred in the 700 block of Bourbon Street and he was arrested by Eighth District officers at the scene.

 

Rami Mohammad (DOB: 6-11-1995) was arrested for theft. The incident took place in the 3200 block of Gentilly Boulevard in the Third District and he was arrested in Harvey, LA.

 

Jason Cooper (DOB: 4-28-1995) for armed robbery. The incident took place on May 10, 2017, and Cooper was arrested in Jefferson Parish.

 

A 15-year-old male was arrested for armed robbery. The incident took place near Kerlerec and Dauphine streets in the Fifth District and the suspect was apprehended nearby and positively identified by the victim.

 

 

May 26

Hunter Foret (4-3-1996) for negligent homicide. The incident was reported in the 3400 block of Esplanade in the Third District and Foret was arrested at the scene.

 

Thomas McGinns (DOB: 10-24-1998) was arrested for a simple burglary. The incident occurred in the 3000 block of Spain and he was arrested at Gentilly Boulevard and Elysian Fields by Third District officers.

 

Juan Palencia (DOB: 9-3-1992) for drug paraphernalia. The incident and the arrest took place in the 4600 block of Alcee Fortier in the Seventh District.

 

Thawanda Haynes (8-3-1976) and for possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (CDS), cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The incident happened in the 13500 block of Chef Menteur and Seventh District officers made the arrest on the scene.

May 27

Sheila Kensey (DOB: 9-8-1960) for aggravated battery by cutting. The incident took place in the 8900 block of Forshey and Kensey was apprehended nearby by Second District officers.

 

 

May 29

Warren “Squally” Smith (DOB: 4-15-1988) for aggravated battery and armed robbery. The incidents took place in November 2016 and May 2017, respectively. Smith was apprehended during a traffic stop in the Seventh District.

 

Sarenta Taylor (DOB: 10-9-1989) for armed robbery. The incident occurred in the 4100 block of Erato and Taylor was arrested at the scene by Sixth District officers.

 

Joshua Braud (DOB: 3-7-1995) for possession of Schedule IV drugs, possession of a firearm or weapon by a felon, and illegal carrying of a weapon with CDS. The incident and the arrest occurred during a traffic stop in the Fifth District.

 

Byron Gardette (11-11-1995) for possession of 21 grams of marijuana. The incident and the arrest occurred during a traffic stop in the Fifth District.

 

 

May 30

Calvin Risin (DOB: 5-11-1993) for auto burglary. The incident took place in the 5200 block of Canal Boulevard on May 25, 2017, and Risin was arrested in Jefferson Parish.

 

Michael Alphonse (DOB: 1-14-1996) for possession of a firearm on the premises of an alcoholic beverage outlet. The incident and the arrest took place in the Eighth District in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
