Suspect Wanted in Attempted Armed Robbery on St. Claude Avenue

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying an individual believed to be responsible for an attempted armed robbery at the McDonald’s restaurant at 2609 St. Claude Avenue on June 26, 2017.

At about 3:22 a.m., the above pictured subject allegedly walked to the drive-thru window of the restaurant armed with a knife and demanded the cash out of the register. Shortly after, the subject grabbed the victim’s arm and threatened to kill her if she did not open the register. The victim quickly pulled away and closed the drive up window and the subject fled in an unknown direction.

The subject is described as a black male wearing a black shirt and white baseball cap.
