Suspect Wanted in Aggravated Assault with Firearm at Louisa and Benefit Streets

Suspect Wanted in Aggravated Assault with Firearm at Louisa and Benefit Streets

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating an individual believed to be involved in an aggravated assault with a firearm on June 16, 2017 at the intersection of Louisa and Benefit streets.

At or about 12:48 p.m., the victim was travelling north on Louisa Street. As she approached Benefit Street, she observed a light blue Dodge Caliber disregard the stop sign on Benefit Street. The victim said she slammed on brakes and the driver of the Dodge Caliber stopped his vehicle, opened his driver’s door and pointed a black and chrome handgun in her direction. The victim stated the suspect then drove west toward Metropolitan Street and then unknown.

The driver of the Dodge Caliber is described as a black male with a dark complexion and a beard, believed to be between 20-25 years of age. He was last seen wearing a black and red baseball cap possible with a New York Yankees logo), a black Dickies shirt.

The Dodge Caliber vehicle is described as being light blue in color with dark tinted windows and black wheels with no hubcaps.
