The NOPD is investigating a homicide that happened in the 1100 block of North Roman Street on Monday (June 19).
At around 8:38 p.m., First District officers responded to shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim inside of a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.
Investigators are still currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
