The NOPD is investigating a homicide that happened in the 12100 block of North I-10 Service Road, on Friday, June 23, 2017.
At about 11:42 p.m., Seventh District officers discovered a 42-year-old male victim face down inside of an apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead this morning, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at around 5:03 a.m.
Investigators are still currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
