NOPD Investigates Double Homicide, Triple Shooting on Tulane Avenue

NOPD Investigates Double Homicide, Triple Shooting on Tulane Avenue

The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that injured a total of five victims.

At around 12:39 a.m., First District officers were near the area of the 3700 block of Tulane Avenue when they heard shots fired from a social gathering in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered five victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Two victims were transported by EMS to the hospital and one victim went to the hospital by private conveyance. Two male victims were pronounced dead on scene by EMS.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.

No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
