Persons of Interest Sought for Questioning in NOPD Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating two persons of interest for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on December 4, 2022, in the 2900 block of Danneel Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives have developed two subjects as persons of interest – Henry Meredith (pictured at left, black male, DOB: 12-02-1976) and Ashley Stevens (aka “Shayleene”, white female, DOB: 07-29-1986).

Neither Meredith nor Stevens are currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel they may have knowledge of information vital to the case and wish to interview them.

Anyone with additional information on this incident or on the pictured persons of interest is urged to contact NOPD Homicide Section Det. James Fyfe at 504-658-5300. Those wishing to report information anonymously can do so by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
