Person of Interest Sought for Questioning by NOPD in First District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a person of interest sought for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a shooting that occurred on May 29, 2023, in the 1000 block of North Claiborne Avenue.

Through investigation, NOPD First District detectives have identified Jennifer Washington (pictured, black female, DOB: 08-18-1980) as a person of interest in this case. Washington is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel that she may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview her..
