NOPD Seeking Person of Interest in Second Degree Battery

The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the pictured individual as a person of interest in connection with a second-degree battery.

The offense occurred on July 5, 2023, in the 10 block of Henry Thomas Drive.  According to investigators, a woman was assaulted by an unknown black male, while jogging.

A passerby observed the altercation and assisted the victim. The perpetrator fled the scene. 

EMS Technicians transported the victim to a local hospital where she was treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries.

The pictured subject, (black male in black clothing) is sought as a person of interest in this incident.  He is not wanted in this incident, but police believe he may have information important to the investigation.

He is described as having a thin build, standing about 5'4" tall with short hair.
