The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect in the ongoing investigation of a shooting that occurred on May 27, 2023, in the 900 block of North Rampart Street.
Through investigation, it was determined that at around 2:29 a.m. on May 27, the pictured subject was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim as they passed each other on the street. The altercation allegedly then became heated, at which time the subject reportedly produced a handgun from his bag and opened fire on the victim, striking her in the abdomen. The subject removed a jacket from his bag and donned it while fleeing the scene.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
