The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating a subject wanted in connection with the investigation into an aggravated assault with a firearm.
On July 8, 2023 at 6:55 a.m., Seventh District officers were called to a home in the 11,000 block of Willowbrae Drive for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, the victim reported that Corey Steven Dew (pictured black male, DOB: 9-25-1969) had come to the home and allegedly brandished a firearm at the victim during an altercation.
Several shots were fired, and Dew allegedly also threatened the victim on social media.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Dew on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal use of a weapon and simple assault.
