The NOPD is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred today (July 14, 2023) on Interstate 10 East at Chef Menteur Highway.
At about 3:40 p.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a call of a vehicle crash at the location. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a male motorcycle driver was traveling in the eastbound lanes of I-10 when, for unknown reasons, he struck the guardrail. The victim was declared deceased on scene.
The Orleans Parish Coroner will officially identify the victim in this incident upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
