NOPD VOWS, U.S. Marshals Arrest Suspect in First District Armed Robbery, Shooting

Members of the NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals arrested Taft Williams (DOB: 04-03-1992) on July 24, 2019 in the investigation of an armed robbery and shooting that occurred on June 27, 2019 in the 1100 block of Marais Street.

As the investigation progressed, detectives developed Williams as a suspect before positively identifying him as the perpetrator and obtaining a warrant for his arrest.

Williams was located and arrested at a residence in the 6300 block of Curran Boulevard. He was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for armed robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery by shooting.
