Three Additional Suspects Arrested in Armed Robbery, Aggravated Kidnapping on Boeing Street

On July 18, 2018, members of the NOPD's Violent Offender Warrant Squad and U.S. Marshals arrested Christopher Jacobs (pictured at left, DOB: 02-04-2000), Payton Jacobs (pictured at right, DOB: 11-09-1998) and Chante Simmons (photo not available, DOB: 01-11-1998), who were sought in connection with an armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping incident that occurred in the 5900 block of Boeing Street on July 2, 2018.

The incident occurred at or around 12:57 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018. The victim told police he was standing outside his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown black male subject asking if he wanted to smoke. Four to five more unknown black males then reportedly appeared with their weapons drawn. The subjects then allegedly forced the victim inside his vehicle and drove him to Slidell, La., where he reportedly escaped. The subjects then allegedly fled the scene in the victim’s 2010 black Mustang.

As the investigation into the incident progressed, detectives were able to develop Christopher Jacobs, Payton Jacobs and Chante Simmons as perpetrators and obtain warrants for their arrest.

The three were located at a residence in the 4100 block of Rye Street in Metairie, LA on July 18 and arrested. Both Payton Jacobs and Christopher Jacobs were arrested for armed robbery with a firearm and aggravated kidnapping. Chante Simmons was arrested for armed robbery with a firearm and principle to aggravated kidnapping.

A search warrant was also obtained and executed at the location, where detectives recovered an NOPD-issued conducted electrical weapon (Taser).

The three suspects are currently awaiting transfer from Jefferson Parish to the Orleans Parish Justice Center for booking.

On July 3, detectives arrested Joshua London (DOB: 12-30-1998) in connection with this incident, after locating him near the reported stolen vehicle.

Investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
