Suspects Sought in Theft Incident on S. Claiborne Avenue

The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating two suspects who are wanted for their alleged involvement in a theft incident that occurred in the Sixth District.

At or around 1:30 a.m. on July 26, 2018, the victim was sitting in the 2200 block of S. Claiborne Avenue when he was approached by an unknown black male subject wearing red shorts, a blue shirt and a black backpack. The subject allegedly grabbed the victim’s backpack and his cellphone from the ground. However, when the victim woke up, the subject reportedly returned the backpack and fled the scene on foot with the victim’s cell phone.

Moments later, while at the same location, a second unknown black male subject, wearing a red shirt, dark pants and a red and black hat, approached the victim. The subject reportedly took the victim’s bicycle and fled the scene.
