UPDATE: Suspects Sought in Simple Kidnapping of Three Juveniles in Fifth District

UPDATE: The 4-year-old juvenile and the 8-year-old juvenile involved in this incident have both been located and reunited with their mothers. Both are in good health.

However, the 15-year-old juvenile involved in this incident is still reported to be with wanted suspects Denisha and Denise Hilton, who remain at large.

Investigation is ongoing. No further details available at this time.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: The NOPD has obtained arrest warrants for Denisha Hilton (DOB: 12-08-1993) and Denise Hilton (DOB: 10-17-1992) in connection with a simple kidnapping incident that occurred on July 6 in the 5100 block of Douglas Street involving three juveniles.

At about 2 p.m., the reporting person told police, she dropped her 4-year-old juvenile daughter off to her 15-year-old juvenile sister for child care while the reporting person worked for the evening. At the time of the drop off, the 15-year-old sister was being supervised by the reporting person’s other sister, identified as Denisha Hilton. The reporting person had agreed to pick up her child the next morning, July 7, at 9 a.m.

The victim told police that on July 7, she reached out to the 15-year-old sister who was babysitting to arrange pickup of the victim’s daughter. The victim said she was advised that Denisha Hilton and her other sister, identified as Denise Hilton, would bring the victim’s daughter to her once the two finished running errands for the day.

Since the conversation, the reporting person has not heard from the 15-year-old juvenile sister who was babysitting. When the reporting person was able to reach Denisha and Denise Hilton, they allegedly advised that they were not returning her daughter at the moment and would not disclose the child’s location, but advised that the child was safe.

In addition to the 4-year-old child, Denisha and Denise Hilton have also refused to return the 15-year-old juvenile sister and an 8-year-old juvenile to their legal guardians as well.

Based on the circumstances of this investigation, Fifth District detectives were able to secure arrest warrants for Denisha and Denise Hilton. Each suspect is wanted on three counts of simple kidnapping.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Denisha Hilton, Denise Hilton and/or the three juveniles reported to be with them is asked to contact Fifth District detectives at 504-658-6050 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-7867.
