Suspect Wanted in Aggravated Assault, Battery Incident on North Rocheblave Street

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Renaldo Boykins (DOB: 06-20-1992) in connection with an aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic battery incident that occurred on July 5, 2018 in the 2100 block of North Rocheblave Street.

At about 2:15 p.m., the victim and Boykins were reportedly involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical when Boykins allegedly struck the victim in the face several times with a closed fist. The physical altercation was broken up and Boykins was reportedly escorted out of the residence. While outside of the residence, Boykins allegedly grabbed a black firearm located in his front waistband as he continued to scream and shout at the victim before fleeing the scene. Boykins was later positively identified as the perpetrator.

When located, Boykins will be charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, domestic battery and felon in possession of a firearm.
