NOPD officers are searching for Mandela ‘Mad Max’ Russell (DOB: 06/24/1992) after he was accused of discharging a firearm at two victims in the 11000 block of Roger Drive.
The victim told police at or around 9:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018, he and an acquaintance were walking back to their vehicle when he observed an unknown male, who was later identified as Russell, kneeling on the side of an abandoned vehicle parked in the area. The victims then reportedly called for the subject to show himself. At that time, the subject allegedly pointed a handgun at the victims and began firing multiple shots.
A criminal history check revealed that Russell has multiple felony convictions, including possession of cocaine and weapons charges.
