Surveillance Video Captures Suspect Wanted in Simple Robbery on Barracks Street

The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying the pictured suspect wanted for a simple robbery incident that occurred on July 5, 2018.

At around 10:30 p.m., the victim was walking back to her vehicle parked in the 900 block of Barracks Street when she was approached from behind by the subject seen on surveillance video. The suspect then took her cell phone and purse before fleeing the location.

The perpetrator is described as being a black male with a medium complexion, 5’10'', 130 pounds with a short haircut. He was seen wearing a white shirt with what appears to be the words "Cash Money Records."
