The NOPD has obtained a warrant to obtain a DNA sample from David Variste (DOB: 10-01-96) in connection with an ongoing homicide investigation.
The individual depicted below is a person of interest in a homicide that occurred in the 6100 block of Todd Place in the Fifth District on April 11, 2018. A warrant to obtain Variste's DNA sample has been signed by a magistrate judge.
He is not wanted in connection with the homicide. However, detectives feel he may have valuable information regarding the investigation.
