Vehicle Theft Reported on Lafaye Street

The NOPD is seeking to locate a vehicle reported as stolen from the 4400 block of Lafaye Street on July 7, 2017.

The victim told police that at about 9 p.m. on July 7, she parked and secured her 2016 Mazda CX-5 Touring SUV bearing Louisiana license plate #ZQZ312 in the driveway of her residence. Upon exiting her residence at about 8:45 a.m. on July 8, she discovered her vehicle was missing.

Surveillance video from a neighboring residence showed at about 11:53 p.m. on July 7, an unknown subject in a white shirt, dark pants and white shoes was walking in front of the vehicle before entering the vehicle. After about 20 minutes of being inside the vehicle, the subject started the vehicle and drove away from the scene.

A photo is included of a vehicle similar in year, make and model to the vehicle reported stolen in this incident.
