Person of Interest Sought in Homicide on Airline Highway

The NOPD is seeking to speak with a person of interest in the investigation of the homicide of Desmone Jerome, which occurred in the 9200 block of Airline Highway on April 29, 2017.

Detectives are seeking to speak with Kyron D. Williams (DOB: 05-09-1990) in relation to this incident. Williams is not wanted in connection with the homicide, but detectives feel he may have knowledge of information that could aid their investigation.

At about 11:14 p.m. on April 29, Third District officers responded to a call of a male shot at the location. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive 27 year-old man lying face up on the ground in a gas station pumping area, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, pronounced dead at the scene, was later identified as Jerome.

Investigators continue to gather evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.
