Person of Interest Sought in Fatal Shooting on Tulane Avenue

The NOPD is seeking to speak with a person of interest regarding a fatal shooting that left three victims dead and injured a total of five victims. The incident occurred on June 3, 2017 in the 3700 block of Tulane Avenue.

At around 12:39 a.m., First District officers were near the area of the 3700 block of Tulane Avenue when they heard shots fired from a social gathering in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered five victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Two victims were transported by EMS to the hospital and one victim was transported to the hospital by private conveyance. Two male victims were pronounced dead on scene by EMS, and a third victim died on June 4.

As investigation into the incident progressed, detectives developed Courtney Miles (DOB: 06-14-1983) as a person of interest.

Miles is not wanted in connection with this incident, but is being sought for questioning.
