NOPD Identifies Suspect in Aggravated Assault, Domestic Abuse on Curran Boulevard

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Iren Paul (DOB: 01-04-1994) in connection with an aggravated assault and domestic abuse incident that occurred on July 5, 2017 in the 10100 block of Curran Boulevard.

At about 1:30 a.m., Paul was allegedly engaged in a verbal disagreement with the victim at a residence in the area. During this disagreement, Paul reportedly responded by strangling the victim for a short period of time before placing a firearm to the victim’s head.

When located, Paul will be arrested for aggravated assault with a firearm and acts of domestic abuse (strangulation) in connection with this incident.
