Today NOPD Superintendent Michael S. Harrison announced the results of a massive multi-agency round-up of criminal suspects. “Operation NOLA Clean-Up” resulted in the arrest of 81 offenders and the clearance of 125 arrest warrants.

 

“New Orleans is a safer place today because of this and the efforts of the men and women of New Orleans law enforcement,” said Chief Harrison. “The FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force and the New Orleans branch of the U.S. Marshal's Service were integral partners in the success of this effort, as well as additional law enforcement agencies and the New Orleans EMS team.”

 

The task force began serving warrants and apprehending suspects in late June with a concentrated blitz from July 10 – 21, 2017. Of the 81 suspects taken into custody, there were four arrests for homicide, four for attempted homicide, seven for armed robbery and 12 for sex crimes including rape and sexual battery.

 

NOPD received the assistance of law enforcement agencies throughout the region including: Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, Kenner Police Department, Louisiana State Police, U.S. Boarder protection, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office. 

 

Six New Orleans EMS Tactical Medics invested more than 140 hours serving as support throughout the operation and providing standby medical coverage.

June 21

Michael Baker (DOB: 10/20/1994) for principal to attempted homicide. He was arrested in the 1600 block of Southlawn Boulevard in the Fourth District. The incident took place in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks on June 12, 2016.

 

Jeffery Hatcher (DOB:  10/25/1969) for sexual battery, indecent behavior with a juvenile, and molestation of a juvenile. Hatcher was apprehended at the intersection of Poydras Street and O’Keefe Street in the Eighth District. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Cherry Street in the Second District on June 18, 2017.

  

June 22

Jonathan Stone (DOB: 5/13/1992) for second degree murder. Stone was arrested in the 1600 block of Poland Avenue in the Fifth District and the incident occurred in the 7800 block of Olive Street in the Second District on June 14, 2017. He was also arrested for a Parole Violation.

  

June 23

Brandon Jackson (DOB: 7/29/1989) for armed robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm, and simple criminal damage to property. He was apprehended in the 2700 block of Tulane Avenue in the First District. The incident occurred in the 7800 block of Sand Street in the Seventh District on April 15, 2017.    

 

June 28

Markee Edwards (DOB: 12/19/1996) for two counts attempted second degree murder, illegal discharging of a firearm, and criminal damage to property. She was apprehended in the 11000 block of Curran Boulevard and the incident occurred at the intersection of Crowder Boulevard and I-10 Service Road, in the Seventh District on April 9, 2017. Edwards was also arrested for obstruction of justice that occurred in the 7400 block of Read Boulevard.

  

June 30

Ronnie Smith (DOB: 7/20/1994) and Ageeta Locure (DOB:  3/26/1977) for second degree murder. A collateral lead was sent to the U.S. Marshals Eastern Missouri Fugitive Task Force and the two were arrested without incident in Ferguson, Missouri. A 9mm extended magazine was found at the location. The incident occurred in the 3300 block of General Meyers Avenue in the Fourth District, on October 8, 2016.  

  

July 10

Phillip Joseph (DOB: 1/27/1999) for attempted armed robbery with a firearm. The incident occurred at Chef Menteur Highway and France Road in the Third District on July 2, 2017. He was arrested in the 9900 block of Morrison Street in the Seventh District.

 

Charles Scott (DOB: 3/31/1987) for simple robbery, domestic abuse- strangulation, simple battery to a person with Infirmities, simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. He was arrested in the 2100 block of Almonaster Street in the Fifth District. The incident occurred at that location on May 12, 2017. 

 

Christopher Daniels (DOB: 1/29/1984) for aggravated battery by cutting. He was arrested in the 14000 block of Chef Menteur Highway in the Seventh District. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of Mandeville Street in the Fifth District on December 18, 2016.

 

Renetta Compton  (DOB:  11/30/1988) for aggravated battery. The incident took place in the 2500 block of Felicity Street on October 26, 2017, and Compton is in custody at the Louisiana Transitional Institute for Women under unrelated charges.

 

Jason Pierce (DOB: 12/11/1976) for simple burglary of a vehicle. The incident took place in the 2100 block of Thalia Street on June 6, 2017, and Pierce was arrested in the 1000 block of Chimney Wood Lane, in the Seventh District. He was also arrested for a simple burglary in the 6100 block of Colbert Street (May 27, 2017), a simple burglary in the 1700 block of Pratt Drive (April 23, 2017), and a simple burglary in the 7400 block of Hurst Street (March 2, 2017).

 

Tyrell Woods (DOB: 4/5/1999) for simple burglary of a vehicle. The incident took place at Huntlee Drive and Erickson Avenue on April 18, 2017.  Woods is currently in custody in Jefferson Parish on unrelated charges.

 

Joseph Ross (DOB: 10/13/1980) for aggravated assault with a firearm. The incident and the arrest took place of the 7800 block of Dorsett Drive in the Seventh District.

 

A 16-year-old male was arrested for two counts of second degree sexual battery. He was arrested in the 1100 block of Milton Street in the Third District. The incident occurred on June 20, 2017. 

 

July 11

Clarence Ridgley (DOB: 3/18/1994) for third degree rape. He was arrested in the 200 block of Bourbon Street in the Eighth District and the incident occurred in the 1100 block of Aline Street on November 28, 2017. Ridgley was also arrested on a criminal court capias for simple burglary and municipal attachment.

 

Bryan Bright (DOB: 6/27/1993) for being a convicted felon with a firearm. The incident occurred in the 5200 block of Revel Street on June 13, 2017. Bright was also rebooked for simple burglary for an incident that occurred in the 2100 block of O.C. Haley Boulevard on June 22, 2017. He was arrested in the 2600 block of First Street in the Sixth District.

 

Jeremy Leonard (DOB:  5/20/1995) for second degree murder. He was arrested in the 1800 block of Tchoupitoulas Street in the Sixth District and the incident occurred in the 600 block of Scott Street on April 8, 2017.

 

A 16-year-old was arrested for armed robbery in the 1700 block of Reynes Street in the Fifth District. He was wanted by the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.

  

July 12

Kelcey Williams (DOB:  2/17/1986) for simple robbery and simple criminal damage to property. Williams was apprehended in the 2200 block of North Rampart Street in the Eighth District and the incident occurred in the 700 block of Barrone Street on July 7, 2017.

 

David Chambliss (DOB: 11/2/1977) for attempted first degree rape. The incident occurred at Toledano Street and Clara Street on February 28, 2017, and Chambliss was apprehended in the 1800 block of Toledano Street in the Sixth District. He also arrested on a parole violation.

 

Damichael Cook (DOB: 3/29/1982) for first degree rape. He was arrested in the 3400 block of Somerset Drive in the Fourth District. The incident occurred in the 7800 block of Means Avenue on May 26, 2017.

 

Teena Scott (DOB: 8/26/1981) for three counts of sexual battery, five counts of indecent behavior, and cruelty to a juvenile in the 500 block Baronne Street in the Eighth District. The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Dumaine Street on April 11, 2017.

 

Manny Smith (DOB: 10/9/1991) for sexual battery. He was arrested in the 500 block of Perrin Drive in Violet, LA.

 

Christopher Ransom (DOB: 5/31/1975) for sexual battery. He was apprehended in the 9400 block of Hayne Boulevard in the Seventh District and the incident occurred in the 2500 block of Dumaine Street on April 11, 2017. Ransom was also arrested on a parole violation.

 

Nathaniel Bryant (DOB: 8/15/1980) for simple burglary and criminal damage to property. He was apprehended in the Fourth District. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of Mansfield Avenue on June 11, 2017.

 

Lenora Bell (DOB: 2/24/1967) for simple burglary.  The incident took place in the 500 block of Hendee Street on June 15, 2017, and Bell was arrested in the 700 block of Wagner Street in the Fourth District.

 

Kourtnay Springs (DOB: 3/16/2000) for simple burglary. Springs was arrested in the 5100 block of Wilton Street in the Third District. The incident occurred at 6300 block of Canal Boulevard on June 14, 2017.

 

Rigoberto Usher (DOB: 7/9/1995) for simple kidnapping. He was arrested at 715 South Broad Street in the First District.

 

Cole Diggs (DOB: 1/27/1994) for simple assault. Diggs was apprehended in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks in the Fourth District. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Belleville Street on April 21, 2017.

 

Joseph Stokes (DOB: 2/21/1994) for a probation violation involving carnal knowledge of juveniles. He was apprehended in Jefferson Parish. 

 

Robert Washington (DOB: 7/28/1984) for a probation violation involving possession of Hydrocodone. Washington was arrested in the 3300 block of Maurice Duncan in the Fifth District. 

 

Taiwan Branch (DOB: 11/23/1978) for domestic abuse battery.  The incident occurred in the 1800 block of Monroe Street on November 27, 2016, and Branch was arrested in the 3900 block of Tulane Avenue in the First District.

 

Lance Ramee (DOB: 11/21/1993) for aggravated battery. The incident took place in the 4300 block of Perlita Street on July 11, 2017, and he was apprehended in Jefferson Parish.

 

  

July 13

Vicki Pryor (DOB:  4/4/1967) for vehicular homicide. She was apprehended in the 4400 block of Congress Street in the Third District and the incident occurred in the 7200 block of Chef Menteur Highway on August 16, 2016.

 

Michael Bordley (DOB: 9/24/1972) for attempted second degree murder. The incident occurred in the 3800 block of Fourth Street on June 18, 2017, and Bordley was apprehended in the 2500 block of South. Prieur Street in the Fifth District.

 

Johnathan Davis (DOB: 3/23/1971) for aggravated battery, second degree battery and second degree cruelty to a juvenile. He was arrested in the 1100 block of South Dupree Street in the Sixth District and the incident took place in the 13000 block of Dwyer Boulevard on July 4, 2017. 

 

Jacola Dorsey (DOB:  7/21/1994) for aggravated battery.  The incident occurred in the 7100 block of Bundy Road on April 18, 2017, and Dorsey was arrested in Baton Rouge.

 

Jeremiah Williams (DOB: 12/25/1999) for four separate simple burglary incidents in the 1500 block of Tropic Drive. All four incidents occurred on June 22, 2017. Williams was arrested in the 2900 block of Magellan Street in the Fourth District.

 

Trey Lee (DOB: 11/8/1999) for simple burglary. The incident took place in the 7500 block of Means Street on March 8, 2015. Lee was found to be incarcerated in the Department of Corrections on a separate charge.

 

Jaron Tate (DOB: 12/9/1993) for aggravated assault. The incident occurred in the 2500 block of South Galvez Street and Tate is in custody in the East Baton Rouge Jail on unrelated charges.

 

Iren Paul (DOB: 1/4/1994) for aggravated assault with a firearm and acts of domestic abuse (strangulation). The arrest and the incident occurred in the 10100 block of Curran Boulevard in the Seventh District. The incident occurred on July 5, 2017. Paul was also arrested for possession of stolen property (Hotpoint, 9mm handgun), which was reported stolen from Jefferson Parish.

 

Joseph Simmons (DOB: 4/6/1956) for aggravated assault with a firearm. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Benton Street on June 4, 2017.

 

Cameron Layton (DOB:  6/26/1993) for theft.  The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Derbes Street.

  

July 14

Ishmel Wiltz (DOB: 10/24/1995) for simple robbery and simple battery. He was arrested in the 9200 block of Apple Street in the Second District. The incident occurred in the 8500 block of Nelson Street on June 18, 2017. Wiltz was also arrested for separate incidents of domestic abuse battery, municipal simple battery and two court capias for aggravated burglary and simple criminal damage to property.

 

Donna Joseph (DOB: 7/13/1979) for unauthorized use of access card and possession of stolen property. The incident occurred at North Derbigny Street and Conti Street on February 11, 2017. Joseph was arrested in the 2400 block of America Street in the Seventh District. She was also arrested for two separate incidents – identity theft/access device fraud, theft of assets of an aged person, money laundering, and a parole violation for attempted murder and court capias for simple criminal damage to property.

 

Lionel Smith (DOB:  4/19/1965) for a probation violation. The arrest occurred in the 9200 block of Apple Street in the Second District.

 

Richard McGee (DOB: 7/20/1972) for aggravated rape. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Iberville Street on July 31, 2016, and McGee was apprehended in the 2400 block of Archbishop Hannan Boulevard in Meraux, LA.

 

A 14-year-old male was arrested for three counts of armed robbery. He was apprehended in the 2600 block of Jasmine Street in the Third District. The incident occurred at Aubry Street and North Rocheblave Street on June 25, 2017. He was also wanted for three separate Juvenile Court warrants.

  

July 17

Jeremy Lawson (DOB: 3/30/1994) for armed robbery. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of Elysian Fields Avenue on March 25, 2017, and Lawson was arrested in Baton Rouge.

  

Dane Maday (DOB: 1/13/1990) for attempted simple rape. He was arrested in the 400 block of Lion Street in Jefferson Parish. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Galvez Street on January 9, 2017.

 

Lafeasha Johnson (DOB:  4/6/2000) for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.  The incident occurred in the 7800 block of Sand Street on May 8, 2017, and Johnson was arrested in the 6700 block of East Coronet Court in the Seventh District.

 

Walter Jackson (DOB: 10/21/1995) for aggravated assault with a firearm. He was apprehended in the 12000 block of I-10 Service Road in the Seventh District. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Vincent Road on June 2, 2017. Jackson was also arrested for a court capias for theft.  

 

Darrell Jefferson (DOB:  4/11/1998) for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and simple battery. The arrest and the incident took place in the 7400 block of Restgate Road.  The incident occurred on July 12, 2017.

 

Coriana Leggett (DOB: 8/25/1995) for simple possession of marijuana (7.4 G). She was apprehended in the 12000 block of I-10 Service Road in the Seventh District.

 

July 18

Chivas Winn (DOB:  4/13/1984) for simple robbery, simple battery and simple criminal to damage. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Jackson Avenue on March 14, 2017, and he is in custody in East Baton Rouge.

 

Dajah Jackson (DOB: 5/3/1996) for simple robbery. He was apprehended in the 3700 block of Bruxelles Street in the Third District and the incident occurred on Canal Street and Bourbon Street on June 27, 2017.

 

Jerrod Jacobs (DOB:  4/12/1995) for armed robbery with a firearm. He was arrested in the 1700 block of Mandeville Street in the Fifth District and the incident occurred in the 3500 block of Calhoun Street on July 5, 2017. Jacobs was also arrested for a probation violation for battery on a corrections officer.

 

Erick Robinson (DOB: 6/28/1991) for aggravated battery by shooting and felon with a firearm. He was arrested in the 1400 block of Pauline Avenue in the First District and the incident took place in the 1300 block of France Street on July 15, 2017. Robinson was also arrested for a parole violation for possession of cocaine.

 

Dyrone Cooper (DOB: 9/29/1988) for aggravated battery. Cooper was apprehended in the 2700 block of Debouchel Street in Meraux, LA. The incident occurred in the 7200 block of Bunker Hill Road on July 12, 2017.

 

Cynthia Sylvan (DOB: 1/1/1964) for aggravated battery and cruelty to the infirmed.  The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Bundy Road and the arrest took place in the 7000 block of I-10 Service Road in the Seventh District.

 

Sharone Knight (DOB: 1/15/1978) for simple burglary (vehicle), simple criminal damage to property and possession of stolen property. The incident took place in the 2100 block of St. Anthony Street and Knight was arrested at 715 South Broad Street.

 

John Dowdell (DOB: 2/6/1963) for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. Dowdell was arrested in the 3900 block of Tulane Avenue in the First District, and the incident took place in the 5500 block of St. Roch Avenue on December 6, 2013. He was also arrested for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling that occurred in the 5300 block of Cameron Boulevard on July 31, 2017.

 

Theodore Washington (DOB: 3/8/1980) for aggravated assault with a firearm. Washington was arrested in the 1900 block of M.L. King Boulevard and incident occurred in the 2400 block of Josephine Street on July 14, 2017.  

 

July 19

Mikel Shelvin (DOB:  6/20/1995) for aggravated battery and domestic abuse battery. He was apprehended in the 7700 block of Downman Road in the Seventh District. The incident occurred in the 4700 block of Camelot Drive on May 9, 2017.

 

A 13-year-old male was arrested for simple burglary of a business. The incident occurred in the 3600 block of Carrollton Avenue on June 28, 2017. He was also arrested for a separate theft incident that took place at South Carrollton Avenue and Oleander Street on June 22, 2017, and a fugitive attachment from Jefferson Parish for a miscellaneous violation.

 

Mickey Power (DOB: 3/12/1986) for aggravated assault. He was apprehended in the 1200 block of Simon Bolivar Avenue in the Sixth District and the incident occurred in the same block on July 16, 2017.

  

July 20

Eugene Hall (DOB: 5/5/1991) for armed robbery. He was apprehended in the 3000 block of Melville Dewey Drive in Metairie, LA. The incident took place in the 4700 block of Major Drive on March 7, 2017.

 

Dominique Hines (DOB: 2/14/1990) for attempted armed robbery with a firearm. The incident occurred at Loyola and Seventh streets on June 23, 2017. Hines was arrested in the 1900 block of M. L. King Boulevard in the Sixth District.  

 

Theodore Baker (DOB: 2/18/1989) for aggravated assault with a firearm. The incident took place in the 1800 block of Mardi Gras Street on July 2, 2017. Baker was also arrested for domestic abuse battery for an incident that occurred in the 3200 block of Rue Parc Fontaine on June 26, 2017. He was apprehended in the 1800 block of Tchoupitoulas Street in the Sixth District.

 

Steven Martin (DOB: 5/2/1991) for domestic abuse aggravated assault, domestic abuse battery (strangulation) and simple criminal damage to property. The incident occurred in the 2100 block of Josephine Street on July 19, 2017. Martin was also arrested for simple burglary of a vehicle and two court capias and a municipal attachment. He was arrested in the 2000 block of Tennessee Street in the Fifth District.

 

Ryan Smith (DOB: 9/30/1986) arrested for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and illegal possession of stolen things. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Laender Street on July 7, 2017, and Smith was arrested in the 400 block of Pierre Street in Chalmette, LA.

 

Chrishon Brown (DOB: 11/20/1980) for armed robbery. He was arrested in the 2700 block of Gladiolus Street in the Third District. Brown was wanted by Jefferson Parish.

 

Thadeus Zimmerman (DOB: 6/20/1984) for Medicaid Fraud. Zimmerman was wanted by the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office.

 

Johnnie Bailey (DOB:  5/29/1979) for attempted homicide by shooting. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of M.L.  King Boulevard. on July 9, 2017, and he was arrested in the 3600 block of Erato Street in the Sixth District.

  

July 21

Bryce Jones (DOB:  4/20/1999) for aggravated assault with a firearm. The incident occurred in the 600 block of South Lopez Street on June 29, 2017. He was arrested in the 1800 block of Tchoupitoulas Street.

 

Dexter Vassar (DOB: 7/22/1975) for second degree rape. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Rencopas Street in Jefferson Parish.
