Two unknown males were seen on surveillance footage burglarizing a vehicle in the 6200 block of Dorothea Street on January 13, 2017. The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating these individuals.

The victim told police that she had parked her vehicle under her carport in the area at about 4 p.m., adding that she had left the vehicle’s driver door window down and the vehicle unlocked. When she returned to her vehicle at about 9:30 p.m., she noticed items had been scattered about her vehicle and numerous items missing from the vehicle, including clothing and electronics.

A review of surveillance footage by officers showed a group of individuals walking down nearby Virgilian Street toward Dorothea Street when one suspect walks up to the driver door of the victim’s vehicle. The second suspect is then shown approaching the vehicle, entering from the passenger side and searching the cabin area before leaving the scene. The first suspect then enters the vehicle, placing items in his jacket pocket. The suspect then accessed the trunk of the vehicle and rummaged through it before leaving the scene.
