The NOPD is looking to identify an unknown male who was seen on Tuesday (Jan. 10) grabbing cash from an open register.
At about 8:13 p.m., an unknown male was seen entering the Big EZ gas station located at 5900 block of Read Boulevard. The suspect then approached the front counter and requested to purchase two single Black N Mild cigars. As the suspect gave the cashier his money, he was seen grabbing an unknown amount of currency from the open register. The suspect was then seen fleeing the location northbound on Read Boulevard then in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as black male in his 30s with tattoos on the right side of his face. He also has tattoos on his left arm and upper right arm. He was last seen wearing red shorts and a white shirt that read ‘Rest in Peace.’
