Suspect Arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

 

The NOPD’s Violent Offenders Warrant Squad arrested Keyira Gable (DOB: 11/28/86) today (Jan. 18) for aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Orginial Story

The NOPD is searching for Keyira Gable (DOB: 11-28-1986) for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and for a felon in possession of a firearm.

The incident happened on January 15, 2017.  At about 9:30 p.m., the victim and Gable were involved in a physical altercation in the front of a bar in the 1900 block of North Claiborne Avenue. The victim and Gable then separated from each other for some time; however, Gable then spotted the victim and her friend at the intersection of St. Anthony Street and St. Claude Avenue. While in the area, Gable lowered her car window and fired a gunshot at the victims. 

Gable attempted to fire several more rounds at the victims, but the firearm malfunctioned. Gable was positively identified as the perpetrator in this incident.
