The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on January 11, 2017 in the 1100 block of St. Bernard Avenue.
At about 10:45 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area. The signal was changed to an aggravated battery by shooting while officers were on route to the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered the unresponsive body of an unknown male lying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
