NOPD is looking for Teyantha “T-Bird” Boyd (DOB: 2/22/1977) in connection to an armed robbery that took place yesterday (Jan. 10).
Around 2:30 p.m., the suspect, later identified as Boyd, was observed entering a store in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard and taking clothing and perfume from the shelves. A store employee reported that she advised Bird to leave the items taken and exit the store, when Boyd produced a knife from her pocket and threatened the employee. The employee, fearing for her safety, fled to the office and called police. Boyd then left the location, still in possession of the stolen property.

In Louisiana, an armed robbery conviction requires the offender to be imprisoned at hard labor for 10 – 99 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. When a firearm is used in the commission of the crime, the offender will be imprisoned for an additional 5 years that will be served consecutively to the original sentence.
