NOPD Arrests Suspects in Burglaries, Auto Theft on Crowder Boulevard

The NOPD today (Jan. 13) arrested Willie Burton (DOB: 06-23-1995), George Taylor (DOB: 01-07-1994) and Jodici Burton (DOB: 01-14-1992) in relations to residential burglaries and a vehicle theft reported in the 8500 block of Crowder Boulevard.

The arrests came as Seventh District detectives conducted follow-up investigations into a string of burglaries in the area. Through extensive investigation and assistance of digital evidence and victim statements, detectives were able to develop the three arrested individuals as suspects.

After obtaining a search warrant for a residence in the 8500 block of North I-10 Service Road, detectives and NOPD Special Operations Division officers recovered the majority of property reported stolen by victims, including firearms, ammunition, keys to a vehicle reported as stolen earlier this month and other items.

The three suspects were each booked into Central Lockup on a charge of illegal possession of stolen things, while Burton was booked on an additional charge of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.

Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
