NOPD Apprehends Suspect Wanted for Attempted Burglary on Chef Menteur Highway

The NOPD apprehended Harold Howard (DOB: 2-1-73) yesterday (Jan. 5) for attempted burglary.

 

Howard was wanted in connection to an incident that took place on December 24, 2016, in the 6000 block of Chef Menteur Highway. The victim stated that at approximately 10:30 p.m. he observed Howard attempting to crawl through the kitchen window of his apartment. When Howard saw the victim, he fled the scene. The victim stated that he recognized the perpetrator as someone who frequented the apartment complex.

 

On January 5, 2016, at approximately 6:05 p.m. the victim saw Howard in the apartment complex and contacted police. Upon arrival, officers were able to detain the arrested subject and a positive identification was made by the victim. Howard was arrested for attempted burglary of a residence and transported to Central Lockup.
