The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating a subject wanted in connection with an aggravated assault with a firearm in the Fourth District.
On January 2, 2023, at around 4:30 p.m., the suspect and the victim were involved in an argument in the 3200 block of Kabel Drive that escalated when the suspect allegedly retrieved a firearm and approached the victim with it. The suspect then allegedly struck the victim with her hand and fled.
Through investigation, Karlinda Dionne Brooks (black female, 4'11", 92lbs, DOB: 07-09-1993) was identified as the alleged perpetrator in this incident.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Brooks on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and simple battery.
