NOPD Arrests Suspect in Homicide Investigation

On January 9, 2024, the NOPD arrested Tymonae J. Kelley (black female, DOB: 12-14-1989) of Lancaster, Calif. in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on January 6, 2024, in the 4200 block of Dale Street.  

At about 1:30 a.m. on January 6, NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a call of a shot person at the location. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive adult male was found inside of a crashed vehicle at the location. The victim was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was declared deceased on scene by EMS.

On January 8, 2024, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 39-year-old Larry Boudreaux and preliminarily determined cause of death to be from gunshot wound injuries.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives developed and positively identified Kelley as the perpetrator in this incident. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Kelley on one count of second-degree murder. Kelley was located on January 9, placed under arrest and booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
